Bag Dump Stations are designed as a means of conveniently breaking open bags and dumping the contents in a safe, clean manner. They were originally designed for introducing material into pneumatic conveying systems, but are now also used to introduce material into reactors, mixers, metering devices or weigh hoppers.
This design provides a clean, convenient means of emptying bags and protecting the worker during those critical moments when the material falls into the hopper and sends up a cloud of dust. The built-in exhaust fan draws the airborne dust away from the worker, to the back of the station where it is filtered and the clean air returned to the atmosphere.
